Chapter 7

The stray dog had actually vanished out of thin air, as if it had never been there at all. If not for the surging heat that had flowed from Chu Fei's palm into his body, he would have absolutely thought the stray dog he'd just seen was only an illusion!!

How could this be? Where had it gone? Did I eat it?

At that moment Chu Fei immediately vomited until he was dizzy, but at least he was no longer hungry...

When he came back and faced his mother's worried expression, Chu Fei forced out a faint smile. "The doctor said I'm fine. He told me to get some rest and I'll be okay!"

"Ah, then hurry up and go lie down inside..." He Peiling cherished this son of hers very much. Luckily, the beauty salon was short on almost everything except beds.

So Chu Fei randomly found an empty private room and lay down. His emotions were in turmoil, his mind a blank. In just one day, his world had been turned upside down. Not only had he reconnected with his ex-girlfriend, he had even turned into a monster!

"Shishi, trouble you to look after him for a bit. I don't know what's wrong with Xiaofei. He only came over tonight and ended up like this..." His mother He Peiling's anxious voice came from outside.

"Auntie, don't worry. Cousin Chu Fei might just not be used to the climate here. After a couple of days' rest, he'll be fine."

He Shishi, a slightly plump young woman, was Chu Fei's relative. Her grandfather was the younger brother of Chu Fei's maternal grandfather, so by blood they were fairly close, and for the past few years she had been helping out here with He Peiling.
